Rebel Wilson and Toni Collette lead charge as networks fast track new US shows

AUSTRALIA’S Rebel Wilson and Toni Collette are part of a fast track frenzy that is set to roll out on Australia’s commercial TV networks in coming weeks.

Channels Seven, Nine and Ten as well as SBS and Foxtel will rush a swag of new and returning US shows to air just days after they screen in America.

The US TV season starts in late cheap supra shoes September to early October.

Wilson, best known for her role in hit movie Bridesmaids, is the star and co-executive producer of sitcom Super Fun Night.

The comedy – to screen on Nine – centres on three single women who set every Friday night aside to party.

Collette, who starred in US TV hit The United States of Tara, plays the central character, surgeon Ellen Sanders, in Nine’s Hostages.

Sanders is due to perform a lifesaving operation buy supra shoes on the president of the United States when rogue FBI agent Duncan Carlisle (Dylan McDermott) kidnaps her family.

Carlisle wants Sanders to botch the operation and kill the president.

Seven has high hopes for new drama Blacklist, starring James Spader as the world’s most wanted criminal, Raymond Reddington.

In a twist, Reddington turns himself into the FBI and offers to give up everyone he has worked with on the condition that he only deals with rookie profiler Elizabeth Keen (Megan Booth).

Another potential blockbuster is Marvel’s supra high tops Agents of SHIELD from Joss Whedon, the creator of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and writer/director of hit movie The Avengers.

SHIELD’S lead character, Agent Phil Coulson (Clark Gregg), has appeared in Iron Man, Thor and The Avengers.

Aussie networks have been increasingly forced to fast track American shows to combat illegal downloads by voracious viewers.
